PERFORMANCES
One of the main components of any DownStreet Art celebration, are the performances that accompany it. Through the process of planning these performances, Janette has gotten the chance to work with some phenomenal talents such as Timur & the Dime Museum, Nomadic Massive, Vermont Joy Parade, and Ryder Cooley & the Dustbowl Faeries. |

EXHIBITS
"Dreaming Arizona"
Ibrahim Quraishi "Dreaming Arizona" is a multi-media installation that explored the end of cowboyism through seven videos, seven large photographic prints and an original soundtrack. With a gallery filled with hay, pygmy goats, sound and moving images for this special site-specific exhibition, visitors step into a multi-media, multi-sensory journey. "Writing Series: (manga) sulat sa pader"
Eliza Barrios When this show was set-up at Gallery 51, it was a solo-exhibit of Filipina-American, Eliza Barrios' new and cumulative works where she explored the growing obsoletion of the written word in an increasingly technological world. "As technology imposes itself on our methods of personal exchange and communication, we find that the act and gesture of writing is becoming obsolete," ~Barrios. "Other Hudson Chapter Two"
Nicholas Kahn & Richard Selesnick, and Dennis Herbert The show featured photography, drawings, and sculptural objects by the internationally renowned collaborative duo Kahn & Selesnick, as well as dream-like dioramas and assemblages by outsider-folk artist Dennis Herbert.
